I think this is really when it seemed to hit me up-side-the-head. That feeling of something is missing. I see people who love what they do. People who have these amazing hobbies they love. Painting, golfing, cooking, wine, travel, sports…the list goes on and on. Not me. An interest in many things but no passion. By passion I mean something that consumes you. Something you want to do all the time. My friend Pat is an Artist. I asked her how often she works on her art…daily she says, all the time. It is all consuming she says. Pat is in her 70′s and has been an artist since she was 20. And , she is called to it.

That’s what I want. Do you think it possible or is it one of those one-in-a-million occurences. Is she special in a way that I am not? Well, I’m going to find out. No more sitting on the fence and watching the kids play. I am jumping in, on the court, ready to roll up my sleeves and play to. At what you ask? Who the heck knows. What I know for sure is that it isn’t going to happen doing what I’ve been doing. Really, what have I got to lose.
